Geophysical Monograph Series – This flagship series publishes in-depth reference volumes in all fields of the Earth and space sciences, often with an interdisciplinary element. They are usually edited compilations that present the state-of the-art in a particular field, literature reviews, developments in methods and techniques, recent scientific advances, case studies, and applications. They are designed for researchers, industry professionals, and advanced students.

Special Publications – This series currently focuses on showcasing new and emerging tools and techniques for data collection and analysis in the Earth and space sciences, with an applied focus and practical elements for readers. These books are designed for researchers, industry professionals, and advanced students. We also publish occasional books on careers, the workforce, and other issues as applied to the geosciences community.

Advanced Textbook Series – A series of textbooks for upper undergraduate and graduate level courses bridging the gap between the fundamentals and critical analysis and containing a variety of materials to support teaching and learning. Covering topics across the breadth of Earth and space sciences, many empower students to explore scientific and societal challenges facing our planet, humanity, and the environment.

Archive Series – Over the years, AGU commissioned and compiled a range of book series, including reference books, research compilations, handbooks, field guides, teaching resources, and series focused on particular disciplines or covering specific geographic areas.
