Mass Media Fellows
The Mass Media Science and Engineering Fellows program is a 10-week summer program that places science, engineering, and mathematics students at media organizations nationwide. Fellows use their academic training as they research, write, and report today’s headlines, sharpening their skills in communicating complex scientific issues to the public.
The Mass Media Fellowship program and applications are administered and managed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). AGU sponsors one fellow per year.
Fellows receive a $8,000 stipend, and funds for traveling to and from AAAS for fellowship-related activities, and to and from their placement sites. The fellowship does not include housing or a housing stipend.
