Good science communication—the kind that truly connects with people, engages those who have not been included before, and resonates with others—take effort and innovation.

It can also require a little investment, and sometimes a small sum can go a long way to help fuel creative public-engagement endeavors. With that in mind, we offer grants (averaging $1,000 or less) to encourage and jump-start outreach and engagement activities that will connect science and its value with wider communities, from journalists to policymakers to students to members of the public.

Please note that these grants are not intended to support salaries or indirect costs.
